Social American Tournament on Friday May 10th @7pm
The Lansdowne Social Committee is organising its first Summer American Tournament this Friday at 7pm (check-in from 6.30pm). This doubles event is open to members and non-members. Entries cost €10 to cover for balls, food and prizes. Complimentary Pimm's served on the night and prizes for winning pair & runners up!
London Bridge Closed April 8th - July 21st
London Bridge will be closed to cars between April 8th and July 21st. Pedestrian access will remain open for the duration of the works.
Please note that if you're driving from the South or from the West (Shelbourne Road, Haddington Road or City Centre), you will have to go around to avoid Bath Avenue by either using:
- the Sandymount diversion (Shelbourne Road, Lansdowne Road and Tritonville Road)
- the Ringsend diversion (South Lotts Road, Ringsend Bridge & Irishtown Road)

Non-Members Week: Mon. April 1st - Sun. April 7th
Lansdowne LTC will be opening its doors next week to all tennis players eager to try our club. All visitors fees will be waived during that week. Please leave your name and number upstairs if you'd like to receive more information about our club. Spare racquets and balls will be available from behind the bar (Tuesday - Saturday).
- Monday - The club & courts will open at 9am and close at 8pm (bar will be closed due to bank holiday).
- Tuesday - The club, courts & bar will be open as usual.
- Wednesday - The club, courts & bar will be open as usual.
- Thursday - Club night with organised event at 7.30pm. Entries cost €5 to cover food and prizes.
- Friday - Social American Tournament starts at 7.30pm. Entries cost €10 to cover food and prizes.
- Saturday - The club, courts & bar will be open as usual.
- Sunday - The club & courts will be open (bar will be closed).
Easter Junior Tennis Camp 2013
The Easter Junior Tennis Camp will be held at Lansdowne LTC between Tuesday, April 2nd and Friday, April 5th. Camp will be on daily starting at 9.30am and finishing at 12.30pm. Please download an application form here and register before Monday, March 25th.
Free supervised tennis will also be available during the Easter break between 2.30pm and 4.30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, March 26th, 28th and April 2nd and 4th.
Congratulations Sean Collins, U14 national winner!
Sean won the Boys Singles Under 14 at the Wilson National Indoors Championships which took place in David Lloyd Riverview at the end of December. Well done, Sean!

Schools Tennis Offer

French Classes for Kids
La Jolie Ronde will begin hosting French Classes here in Lansdowne starting on Wed Oct 3 until Wed Dec 19. Classes will take place on Wed afternoons: 3 - 3.30pm 2-4 year olds; 3.40 - 4.20pm 5-7 year olds; 4.30 - 5pm 8-12 year olds. About Lansdowne LTC
Lansdowne LTC has 11 top quality synthetic grass tennis courts suitable for year-round weather conditions. Lansdowne will soon have a new state-of-the-art new clubhouse facility which will incorporate a new bar and changing rooms as well as a function room available for hire for private functions.
Lansdowne LTC is a members' club that caters for all levels of tennis. It is a very active club with a large array of social tennis functions organized throughout the year. From the enthusiastic player who has yet to hold a tennis racket to the internationally acclaimed tennis pro, Lansdowne has every type of player (a former Fed Cup player represents the class 1 team as well as new to the game players at the class 7 level), Lansdowne caters for all levels of tennis.
For the new tennis player looking for a social game we have “Social Tennis” every Thursday at 7pm. Come down and sign-up each week and for €5 you get to play with lots of different partners with a chance to compete for a bottle of wine and after the tennis everyone meets in the bar for a drink and a snack.
For the serious tennis player we have the year round DLTC leagues from Class 1 – 7 as well as events throughout the year organized at challenging your standard of the game. We also run a series of “social” American tournaments for class 1/ 2 to help appreciate the lighter side of the game!
Throughout the year many events take place, Turkeys & Plumbers, Frostbite, Team Singles Events, Spring Challenge, Sunday Morning Breakfast League, Open Weeks such as East of Ireland Championships, American Tournaments and lots of other organized tennis events.
Lansdowne LTC runs a year round tennis academy for the future Wimbledon champs in the family. The junior tennis takes place everyday after school and runs in line with the school year. We also run a series of Tennis Camps for the juniors throughout the holidays.
