Current Clubhouse Proposal Oct 2007

View From Entrance (Conceptual)

In order to achieve minimal change of the existing plans, and comply with the "Guidelines" in relation to sunlight, we have had to move away from the rear boundary fence line, drop the building slightly and to lower the level of the roof on the east side in order to minimise the blocking of sunlight from neighbouring gardens on the 21st March each year. As we are moving away from the rear boundary, but cannot move any more towards the courts, a basement had to be included to accommodate what was removed from the upper floors (ie store rooms, equipment rooms).

Full details of the new plans are available below and plans are also on display in the bar and in the room downstairs. Although the building looks very different from the outside (i.e. with a curved tiered roof), the internal plans themselves are not very different from the previous proposal, in that all the member areas are in the same places. Despite the constraints placed upon us, the Committee are very pleased with the new plans and feel that this is a building we can be proud of, and would welcome any feedback which members would have in relation to the plans. All feedback should be sent to info@lansdowneltc.com or addressed to Club Administrator, Lansdowne LTC, Londonbridge Road, Dublin 4.
