RULES

• It is each players own responsibility to acquaint themselves with their time of play each week PLEASE NOTE START DATE THU RS Feb 28 th
• If you arrive 20mins late, fail to show up, or a sub does not arrive on your behalf at the correct time, the opposing pair will win 10 points and you will be deducted 7 points from your team’s overall score. If a last minute cancellation is required it is courtesy to contact partner /opponents, however, if an agreement cannot be reached to re-schedule then the 10 / -7 rule will apply.
• Players are requested to provide their own tennis balls
• If a match must be rescheduled (once all four players agree) the match MUST be played prior to the assigned date. Please contact Emma on 668 0219 if you are rescheduling.
• Each match consists of 16 short games followed by a tie-break. Short games is the first point after deuce (male serves to male and female to female or in the case of mixed the receiver has choice). The tie-break is the first to reach 7 points (ie. at 6/6 the next point wins)
• If a pair of ladies play a mixed pair, the ladies receive a +15 in every game and +1 in the tie-break
• Players are encouraged to make themselves available for all 5 weeks of play. Subs are available from the subs lists – females may only use female subs and males use male subs either of which can only be of the same or lesser standard. Players are responsible for getting their own subs.
• Subs may only score a max of 9 points (opponents will score a minimum of 8 points)
• Should weather conditions be VERY POOR at 5pm on Thursdays, a decision will be made as to go ahead with the order of play or postpone the matches by one week.
• There will be a prize for the top team in each section – the team with the highest number of points collected each week.
